Buku-buku Kafe
There's this new cafeteria at The District Imus and we had to try it out.
It's located at the main entrance of the mall adjacent from Starbucks.
From the name itself and as you could view it from the outside, the cafeteria is fully decorated with books. It has a section where you can grab a book to read and the ceiling is just perfect!
They also have corners with board games and the corner tables have magazine stacks too.
Their decorations are interesting too. Antique stuffs are on display and some recycled items that were customized to have the Buku Buku Kafe mark.
The bar. It's neatly presented with cookies and breads that are ready to serve and their menu are displayed at chalk boards with cute lettering.
The condiments area is neatly arranged as well.
Aside from the chalk boards, they also have the day's special displayed outside. They also have their breakfast meals displayed by the counter and their whole menu are distributed to each tables with a cork board.
Since we already had lunch and we bought our Auntie Anne's Nuggets, we just had a kettle of peppermint hot tea and grabbed the most familiar board game we saw, Snakes and Ladders. lol.
More shots of the shop's corners. It was pretty cool that they have these interactive boards for their customers. It makes the place cozy and very friendly.
And talk about friendly, the servers are all smiles when they served us and was very accommodating.
Majority of the tables are set for two but they have this long table at the middle and a long corner for those who want to go solo.
I think we stayed longer than the other customers that went in. haha. We took another board game and played until we finish our second peppermint kettle refill and called it a day.
It was fun to stay there if you are with friends. We haven't tried the food so I cannot rate that but I will definitely visit and taste some.
The only comment that we had was that the chairs were a bit 'uncomfy' IF you intend to stay there for long hours. But apart from that, the ambience was good and the look and feel is in full green if I were a Sims character. lol.
Overall, my Buku-buku experience was 5/5. I would definitely recommend it to friends especially if you are a book reader.
