Lopez Private Beach Resort, Quezon

We have been talking about visiting Mark and Tin at their place so we have planned this Quezon trip. And after choosing from three resorts, Chichi booked our stay at Lopez Private Beach Resort.

The Resort

Lopez Private Beach Resort is located in Agdangan, Quezon. It's around a 1-2 hours drive from the city via a private car.

There's no clear signage to go to the resort, but the pinned Google Map location is accurate, so you can follow the directions from there. The surrounding area of the resort are private properties and there are few nearby resorts as well.

The location is really private and you get the whole resort for yourselves even though you only rent out one room.

The Rooms

They have twin rooms at Php 4,000 and their glass room (villa) is at Php 5,000. The rates are inclusive of free use of all the amenities and cooking/kitchenware.

The twin room (forgot to take a photo) has two beds, air-conditioning, two wall fans, a fridge, and its own toilet and bath.

The glass room (villa) has three beds, air conditioning, one stand fan, a television, a sitting area, a balcony, and a private toilet.

It's really spacious if you have a big group but they don't have a clothes rack or a small area to store your bags.

The room only has one plug socket, so if you are renting as a group maybe bring your own extension but you can also borrow one from the staff.

They have instruments inside the room too, that of course, you can carefully use. There's also a telescope that I didn't get to use, but I think my friends used it.

We were a group of 8 adults and 2 kids so we rented out two rooms for two days and one night. I stayed at the glasshouse with the other half of the group.

The Amenities and Accommodations

As mentioned above, the amenities don't have an additional fee. They have enough parking space for maybe 3-4 cars and as soon as you enter the resort proper, the first thing you'll notice is the glasshouse and the billiards table below it.

Just beside the billiards table is the outdoor kitchen, nothing fancy, just simple - a gas stove and a working sink. The staff instantly asked us if we need cookware the moment we got our bags down. No additional fees to borrow pots and pans. And gas is included too.

The grills are at the back of each of the twin rooms, but we didn't tried using it because we brought an electric griller.

They also have a basketball court, maybe a little bit smaller than a half-court; if you want to play, you can always ask the staff for the ball.

There's also a grassed playground with swings and slides, good for kids to run around and play.

Their videoke is at the big house upfront - not sure if that's for rent. They also have outdoor showers and an outdoor toilet and bath, good if you're a big group renting the place.

Free use of kayak is included as well. Boat rental has an additional fee of Php1,000, Kuya bantay can also drive you where the starfishies are.

The staff was very accommodating to all our needs too, may it be an extra battery, extra chord extension, or even ice and additional drinks!

Also, we all loved the resident fur babies of the resort, they are all friendly and playful too.

Overall Review & Summary

The place is very peaceful, we had the whole place all for ourselves during our stay. The people are very approachable and helpful too. They also allowed us to overstay without additional charge.

They have a pool table, playground for kids, free use kayak, and karaoke - we didn't ran out of things to do.

There's also a cute beach spot that's a few walks away. We love the mangroves that are sitting in front of the resort, perfect to use the kayaks and just chill under the shades.

Some pros we loved:

  • All the rooms are air-conditioned and clean. One of the rooms we rented out has a fridge too.
  • They also let us borrow some cookware. The gas and the stove are provided as well.
  • They also helped us buy some supplies when we ran out, like ice and drinks.
  • Unlimited use of videoke!

Some cons you probably won't mind:

  • There's no telecom reception, tho we had a bit around midnight. Good if you're looking for some internet detox time. Better download some offline Spotify songs beforehand!
  • Power tends to get on and off around early morning until early afternoon. But you won't mind it if you are out enjoying the beach.

Highly recommended for small to medium groups of friends and families.

Not sure if they are pet friendly, but they have three very welcoming and friendly dogs when we visited.
