Queen's Strawberry Farm
It was a double celebration this year as May 8 lands on the 2nd Sunday of the month making it Papa's birthday and Mother's Day for mom!
Mom asked for a quick trip this day and we visited Papa first to clean his columbarium. We didn't know where we were headed next, but sister-schwan planned the whole day.
A quick drive to Queen's Strawberry Farm
Queen's Strawberry Farm is located at Sitio Hawilian 2, Alfonso, Cavite, a very quick drive even if you are coming from the metro.
The place can easily be spotted on the map. Within the vicinity are more farms and huge private properties. There are also farms and lots for sale there in case you are looking to buy.
Entering the Farm
There are strawberry decors everywhere!🍓 And as expected, 'Mother's Day' related gimmicks too.
They have good parking space but not cemented. And by the entrance you will immediately be drawn inside with the plants crawling on every corners.
By the entrance, they have their bakery / reception area where you can buy their pastries and other strawberry goods.
They have consumable entrance tickets per guest at at P50.00 that you can use to buy from the shops inside the farm. We highly recommend you buy those fish food pellets, they have fishies everywhere! And of course kids below 3ft are free!
Quick Trivia: Queen's Strawberry Farm is the 1st Strawberry farm in the South of Metro Manila!
Lunch First!
Our first order of the day is to have lunch at the Queen's Restaurant. It's a big hall that has a very inviting and had glass for walls. Quite brilliant, cause you still get to enjoy looking outside while you are dining.
They also have an open deck at the top (ideal to dine at at night or if it's not too hot outside) where they have these white bengal trumpets crawling all over the roof that serves as shades and decor at the same time.
Few photos of the interiors:
And of course, we had to try their strawberry shake too! Yum!
Did you know? Each yellow “seeds” on the outside of a strawberry are actually considered a separate fruit.
It's highly Instagrammable!
Once we were all charged up, we roamed around the place and took tons of pics. And when I say it's Instagrammable, I say it is! You can literally take just a few steps and have a different view. The photos below are just from the entry way to the restaurant.
Al Fresco Dining & Kid's playground
They have this cute al fresco dining spot beside the restaurant where they actually held events. And beside it is this playground with huge slides and fun things for kids to enjoy.
Fishing Village & Kingberry Hall
Apart from the the koi ponds that are placed at the pathway, they also have this big pond where you can actually catch tilapia and take it home for a fee.
They also have some parts of the greenery on this area, hydrophonics and other edible plants too. They have more al fresco dining spots on different corners of the area as well.
At the center, they have another dine-in place that they call Kingberry Hall. It looks huge inside but not air-conditioned like the Queen's restaurant.
We also saw their kitchen and production hall at the back of the Queen's restaurant. It's pretty far off from where the bakery is (up front the entrance) but more convenient to serve all the dining and seating areas of the place
It's sad that we weren't able to take home some of their pies, probably next time preorder one before you roam around the place :)
Other things to do at Queen's Strawberry Farm
They have seasonal activities like watermelon and strawberry picking. They also have Bed & Breakfast!
Queen's Strawberry Farm is good to visit with family and friends. It's nice to enjoy nature, appreciate how they have set up everything and of course take tons of photos for Instagram! lol
